CPP/FPC Study Group Information

The Gateway Association of Payroll Professionals conducts a study group twice per year....one to
help candidates prepare for the the Spring testing period and one to help prepare for the Fall testing  period. 
The study groups typically meet for thirteen consecutive Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

STUDY GROUP OBJECTIVES

  • Review/Teach information to be mastered to earn the designation.

  • Familiarize candidates with the test environment.

  • Help candidates develop effective time management skills.

  • Help group members build confidence levels.

  • Share effective study skills, special tips, and ideas from former study groups. 

  • Take review exams together and assess what further work is needed in various areas.

  • Give study group members the opportunity to network with one another.

  • Provide a forum for members to meet their peers in St. Louis and establish some wonderful friendships.

     
 

     The 2017 Payroll Source ® is our primary source of study material and can be purchased
     directly from the American Payroll Association.  This year, the APA has moved to an eBook
     platform.  The Payroll Source is available in hard copy for the amount of $299.00 (for APA
     members) or as an on-line source for $399.00 (for APA members).  

     If you have an APA member in your organization then the hard copy may be purchased at
    
the Colleague price of $394.95 or the on-line version price is $514.95.

     Additional handsouts and study guides will be provided. 
 

 
The cost of the study group is $50 and you must be a member of the GAPP to join.
